Where It Began:
Tootsies Established 1992. The Tootsies concept was born in 1988, by Claude Bohemier and Greg Taylor. Combined, the two possessed over 50 years of expertise in corporate footwear retail. Both had travelled the world extensively, sourcing and developing footwear for Canadian retail. As Canadian footwear manufacturing started to collapse, the entrepreneurial pair began pursuing a vision of a better, more focused footwear retail model for the Canadian consumer. The vision; a uniquely Canadian, large-format footwear superstore. Offering quality footwear at factory direct pricing from Canadian manufactures and import suppliers.

In 2013, Tootsies officially merged with Tender Tootsies Group (TT Group Inc.) becoming part of a dynamic manufacturing, importing and wholesale company with strong distribution throughout North America.
While Tootsies continues to grow and adapt with the changing retail landscape, the clarity of their Canadian focus shows in Tootsies’ marketing strategies, branding and corporate identity. Quality Canadian Made footwear is still a large part of the core Tootsies ethos.
