When & where can I drop off donations for shelter?
All donation drop offs now require an appointment with the donation team. To book an appointment, please email donations@anovafuture.org or call 519-642-3003 ext 2253 or 2266
Can I ship donations direct to shelter?
Please consider purchasing from our Amazon Wishlist. This will ship direct to our shelter.
Does Anova accept donations of opened packages?
We cannot accept opened toiletries, cosmetics or any items passed their “best before” or “expiry dates”.
We can accept open boxes of diapers / femine hygiene products, provided the sleeves inside are not opened.
Does Anova accept donations of new or used clothing?
We accept donations of new and gently used clothing. We do not accept used undergarments.
What about out of season items?
Due to storage capacity, we do not accept out of season clothing.
Seasonal Timelines: Winter Clothing: September to February. Spring/Summer: March-August
Does Anova accept donations of large appliances or furniture?
Unfortunately at Anova we do not have the space to store larger items ad are unable to accept them at this time.
Does Anova accept donations of new or used baby equipment?
Due to safety and liability issues we are unable to accept any used baby equipment.
If it is brand new/unopened we will gladly accept for shelter use.
Does Anova accept donations of used toys?
We can accept new toys only. We can’t accept used stuffed animals.
Does Anova accept donations of gift cards?
Yes! Gift cards to retail and grocery stores are appreciated.
Some gift cards to consider: Costco, Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Dollarama, Grocery Stores, Gas.
Does Anova accept donations of non-perishable food?
Yes. Anova cannot accept any items passed their “best before” or “expiry dates”.
Does Anova accept donations of prepared food?
Anova adheres to strict safe food handling policies and procedures. Please contact our cooks directly to inquire about your food donation.

Does Anova accept pet food and pet items?
Yes. We have a pet-friendly shelter and will accept unopened pet food, as well as, toys, bedding, leashes, dishes etc.
What medications are accepted by Anova?
Guaifenesin Cough Syrups
Acetaminophen (regular & extra strength)
Acetaminophen Liquid for Kids
Will Anova pick up my donation?
Unfortunately we do not offer a pick-up service. If you have accessibility issues, please connect with us regarding your donation.
