Supporting Anova during the Postal Strike

Hi everyone,

With the ongoing postal strike, we wanted to be sure you are up to date on the various ways to have your donations reach us and help us continue providing safety, shelter, and support for survivors of gender-based violence. During last years postal strike (November 15 to December 17, 2024), Canadian non-profits collectively lost an estimated $266 million in donations. Nearly half of mail in donors across the country didn’t make the shift to online giving, and here at Anova, we experienced approximately a 25% loss during that time.

This year, we’re hoping to prevent that same impact — and with your help, we can.

Here’s how you can give right now:

Online: Make a secure donation anytime via credit card. [Monthly donor options available]

Gift Cards & Physical Items: Drop off physical gift cards & needed items at our donation center at 1067 Wellington St. They are open for drop offs every Tues & Thurs from 12-3pm. See our recent needed items list here.

Amazon Wishlist: You can also shop directly from our Amazon Wishlist, and items will be delivered straight to us.

Gift of Securities: Contact nicolem@anovafuture.org for our share transfer form.

Cheque Drop offs: You can drop off cheques (& physical gift cards) at our admin offices downtown at 255 Horton Street – 3rd floor
